Elevate! offers an action-packed full-day summer experience where students in grades 4-8 dive into exciting weekly enrichment tracks like cooking, design, innovation and more—led by expert educators and supported by Upper School counselors.

Each day is filled with hands-on experiences, community connection, and unforgettable summer fun.

All programs are Monday-Friday from 9:00AM-3:00PM.

  • Grades 4-6
    Get ready to imagine big, build boldly, and have a lot of fun! In this hands-on summer enrichment class, middle school students will design and construct their own Rube Goldberg machines—playful, over-the-top inventions that use simple machines and chain reactions to accomplish a basic task in the most complicated way possible. Students will experiment with ramps, levers, pulleys, and everyday materials while exploring key engineering and physics concepts. Along the way, they’ll collaborate with peers, test and refine their designs, and learn to embrace both epic successes and hilarious failures.     Step into the future of fashion with this hands-on, high-tech design experience! In this exciting summer program, you'll explore the cutting-edge world of fashion technology, using tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, t-shirt printers, vinyl cutters, and sewing machines to bring your creative visions to life. From concept to creation, you’ll learn essential design techniques, experiment with innovative materials, and develop the skills to craft your very own fashion-forward passion project.   • Grades 6-8
    Get ready to design, build, and race your very own rideable electric go-kart! In this hands-on program, students will dive into the fundamentals of mechanical and electrical engineering while constructing key components, including the frame, drivetrain (wheels & steering), and power systems. Through problem-solving and teamwork, participants will apply engineering concepts to build a fully functional go-kart, fine-tuning it for speed, control, and efficiency. The program culminates in an exciting obstacle race course challenge, where students will put their creations to the test! If you love cars, mechanics, or engineering, this is your chance to bring your ideas to life and take the driver’s seat!

  • Grades 4-7

    This program is designed for students who are passionate about creating art and expressing their creativity. Throughout the week, participants will engage in hands-on projects inspired by renowned artists and celebrated masterpieces while exploring a variety of techniques, styles, and forms of expression. Students will also create highly personalized deco accessories—such as mirrors, phone cases, frames, and bags—using whipped-frosting techniques and curated charm collections to bring their artistic vision to life. Through guided exploration and creative practice, students will build skills, experiment boldly, and create artwork that’s uniquely their own.

    Podcast Playground is a fun, creative camp where your ideas and voice take center stage!  You’ll learn what podcasts are, how they’re made, and then work with friends to create your very own podcast from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll meet a real podcast producer who will share behind-the-scenes secrets of the audio world. To top it all off, we’ll head out on an exciting field trip to a professional podcast studio and see where the magic really happens.

    Let’s use AI to spark big ideas and become entrepreneurs! In this fun, week-long course, students will explore the magic of artificial intelligence to turn their ideas into real projects. Using a variety of AI tools, they’ll brainstorm, create, and build from imagination to launch—all while focusing on ideas that make a positive difference in the community. Perfect for curious minds, creative problem-solvers, and future changemakers ready to dream big and try something new!

    In this hands-on ceramics studio, students will explore clay through creative building and design. Using beginner-friendly handbuilding techniques like pinch, coil, and slab, students will create both sculptural and functional pieces. They’ll also experiment with texture, pattern, and color to bring their work to life, with an introduction to wheel throwing for added exploration. This class encourages creativity, craftsmanship, and confidence—perfect for both new and returning ceramic artists.

    Capture the world through your lens in this hands-on digital photography program! Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this course will teach you the fundamentals of composition, lighting, and camera settings to take stunning photos.     Ready to go behind the screen and build the game yourself? In this hands-on program, students will learn how video games really work by designing and coding their own playable worlds. Using real coding tools and Lua scripting, students will program characters, game rules, and interactive challenges while leveling up their tech skills. Through creative builds, testing, and teamwork, students will turn their ideas into games they can play and share. Perfect for curious gamers who want to code, create, and press start on their own designs!

  • Grades 5-7 (Girls Only)

    Through daily crafts, yoga, meditation, and journaling, positive psychology, and going full out when doing things we are "bad at" (such as dancing and singing), this program will empower middle school girls to grow their self confidence and manage anxiety. Each day has a theme in the form of a positive affirmation: I am strong, I am prepared, I am loved, I am healthy, and I am enough. Girls will learn habits to overcome perfectionism and feel confident. Other activities during the week include team bonding games, karaoke, Zumba, journaling, learning how to use a calendar/planner, and a spa day. Come make some new friends and discover how girls can run the world!

    Arduino 101 invites students to dive into the world of electronics and physical computing through hands-on, build-and-play projects. Students will learn basic programming while creating interactive builds using lights, sensors, motors, and simple circuits. A series of fun mini-projects encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and creative thinking. As students move from guided builds to open-ended challenges, they gain confidence as makers and begin thinking like real engineers.

    In this hands-on jewelry-making program, students will learn the basics of jewelry design while exploring tools, materials, and techniques used by real makers. Participants will discover the names and uses of different jewelry parts and tools as they create their own bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings. With plenty of time to design, build, and personalize each piece, this class is perfect for creative students who love working with their hands and expressing their unique style.

  • Grades 4-7
    Milken Movie Makers invites students to dive into the full filmmaking experience—from idea to final cut! Campers will collaborate to turn creative concepts into short scripts, design storyboards, cast roles, film 3–5 minute movies, and edit their projects together. Along the way, students can act in and help produce one another’s films, building teamwork and creativity on and off camera. The week wraps up with a celebratory Milken Oscars screening complete with popcorn and awards for Best Picture, Best Editing, and more. Lights, camera, create!

Tolkien, they will experience the story firsthand through exciting activities that bring Bilbo’s journey to life. Each day, students will embark on interactive adventures that align with the book—baking honey cakes like Beorn, practicing archery like an elf, hiking through the “Misty Mountains,” gardening in true Hobbit fashion, and crafting magical creations inspired by Tolkien’s world.   • Grades 4-7
    CSI is a hands-on STEM program where students in grades 4–7 step into the role of forensic scientists. Using real evidence, data analysis, and critical thinking, students investigate school-appropriate mysteries, test hypotheses, and work together to uncover the facts. Along the way, they build strong problem-solving skills and learn how scientific thinking connects across subjects like science, math, history, and beyond.

  • Grades 6-8
    Students will explore how furniture comes to life—from idea to build. They’ll learn the basics of form, function, and materials while sketching original designs and creating a small model or prototype. Students will design a piece of furniture for a specific person, thinking carefully about that user’s needs, style, and daily life. Through hands-on making and creative problem-solving, they’ll create designs that are both functional and visually striking. No experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to build!

  • Grades 4-6

    Jew-Jitsu introduces students to basic Japanese martial arts techniques with an emphasis on safety, self-defense, and mutual respect. Through physical practice and guided discussion, students explore how core martial arts principles—such as discipline, perseverance, and respect—connect to Jewish values and teachings. Participants build confidence, strength, and coordination while deepening their sense of Jewish identity in a fun, active, and supportive environment.

  • Grades 6-8

    In this interactive program, students explore their interests, strengths, and big ideas for the future while creating a personalized roadmap just for them. Through quizzes, creative activities, and guided planning, students imagine what their ideal life could look like and learn the steps to start moving in that direction. A special highlight of the program is the opportunity to connect with an outside professional working in a field students are curious about, giving them a real-world glimpse into how passions can turn into careers.

    Rootedinvites students to explore the outdoors through science, creativity, and movement. Each day, students investigate a new natural setting and topic—such as ecology, animal behavior, or plant life—then use their discoveries to create original artwork with a variety of artistic media. The program also includes a track and cross country clinic, helping students build strength and endurance while learning in nature. Rooted is perfect for curious, creative students who love being active and learning outdoors.

August 10 - August 14

  • Grades 4-7

    Animate It All invites students to discover how stories come to life through movement, sequencing, and visual storytelling. Beginning with simple animation techniques like sticky-note flip books and paper cutouts, students gradually build skills before experimenting with clay animation and human animation. Along the way, students learn the fundamentals of stop-motion, timing, and collaboration while working with a variety of materials and methods. Emphasizing creativity, patience, and reflection, the program helps students transform small movements into meaningful animated stories.

  • In this hands-on maker program students will design, build, and play their own games. Using simple tools and art techniques, students will create classic board games like Chinese Checkers, Chess, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Mancala. They’ll also explore and play oversized, custom-made versions of favorite games while sharing and learning new games from one another. Perfect for creative builders who love to make, tinker, and play!

  • Grades 4-8
    Unlock the secrets of chess in this dynamic, strategy-packed program designed for players of all levels—from complete beginners to those with an estimated 1600 ELO rating. You’ll get hands-on with real vinyl records, learn the secrets of scratching on turntables, and get immersed in the art of DJing. From mixing music that keeps the crowd hyped to creating the ultimate playlists, you’ll gain new skills to own the decks. We’ll take a deep dive into the history of Hip Hop and how DJs became legends, plus study some of the greatest DJ performances of all time.
